YAY! You’ve decided it’s time to book a session for your family to get updated photos. NOW WHAT? Here are some helpful tips!

1. Plan your outfits! Avoid bright colors, think of colors that complement each other, keep it simple, avoid pattern mixing, dress up a little, make sure everyone has fresh cuts, and mamas – paint your nails! Pinterest is great for ideas.
2. Find a photographer you trust! Remember cheap does not mean better. Paying for someone who makes your experience top-notch is worth it!
3. Bribe those kiddos! If your kids are old enough to understand a bribe (usually 3 and up) give them something to look forward to after the shoot.
4. Consider location – if you have small kiddos then choosing a place where they can explore and run around is great!
5. Go with the flow and have fun. Yes we will get the perfectly posed shot BUT we embraced all the candid moments
